We are proud to support those who have put their lives on the line to serve our country.
If the person you care for has limited income and was in the armed forces 3–24 months during a period of war, they may be eligible for Aide and Attendance benefits to pay for home care. Spouses may also qualify.
In addition to low income and wartime service, does your relative meet any of one of these eligibility criteria?
- Another person’s help is required for activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, eating
- They spend much of the day in bed because of illness
- They have significant visual impairments
If so, check with the local Veterans Affairs office. There are other requirements as well, but this is a start.
